Its tuesday, so that means its new DVD and Game release day for most major retailers. Some notable DVDs for today include :
After The Sunset: Directed by Brett Ratner(Rush Hour) and starring Pierce Brosnan,Woody Harrelson,Don Cheadle and Selma Hayek(who alone is worth the purchase price price). A good comedy wrapped around the premise of a jewel heist.
Astro Boy:The Complete Series.: So no one gets confused, this is a collection of the 2003 series,not the originals. This 5 disc set contains 50 episodes, 29 of which have never aired in the United States.
Crimson Rivers 2:Angels Of The Apocalypse : This would be my top pick of the week. If you were lucky enough to locate a copy of the original Crimson Rivers you will be pleasantly surprised with this sequel. Written by Luc Besson and starring Jean Reno, this time centers around a serial killer murdering people in ways that mirror the deaths of the original 12 Apostles. This horror/mystery/police drama is on a Special Edition DVD with some very limited extras. Look for a complete review in the near future.
Closer : A beatifully tragic story of love,betrayel,love again and then more betrayel. Starring Jude Law,Natalie Portman,Julia Roberts and Clive Owen.
Also on the game front, the most notable release this week would be for XBOX.
WWE Wrestlemania 21 : This game will hopefully break the streak of bad wrestling games on the XBOX. Featuring a new engine from THQ,voice-overs and XBOX-live support.
