Since Celebration 3 back in May, rumors have bee flying around about the proposed Star Wars TV series announced by George Lucas. Some early reports attached Kevin Smith to the live-action project with Lucas taking a back seat and a release in mid 2006. The latest news now states that Lucas will be handling most of the writing and directing himself and the release could possibly be pushed all the way back into 2008. A lot of this delay time could be attributed to the planned 3-D versions of the Star Wars movies and the long awaited new Indiana Jones movie. The other animated TV series could arrive sooner, but again no solid dates have been announced.
