Could it be Real ?????
WARNING::::Major Spoilers below. If you want to be surprised please look away now !!!!!
"Third film in the highly successful "Spider-Man" series sees several new villains and a new woman enter Peter Parker's life. With his secret now revealed to both Mary Jane and Harry, Peter must face the consequences of his actions and his new life together with Mary Jane as they finally form a relationship. Yet their newfound open display of love has yielded some unfortunate results, not the least of which is Peter's upset boss determined to make his life hell for causing his son emotional distress. Not helping is a young investigative reporter named Eddie Brock who Jameson has hired to find out why Mary Jane dumped his son for Peter - what's Parker's secrets? At the same time an escaped prisoner hiding out on a remote beach is caught in a dreadful accident and finds himself turned into a shape-shifting sand creature. Peter's investigations into the past of this 'Sandman' brings him in contact with two very different things that will inevitably alter his life. The first a young woman named Gwen Stacy, daughter of the city's new police chief who is developing a soft spot for Peter. The other, a black substance from an accident scene which 'merges' with Peter's costume and gives him new found abilities. Things come to a head however when Harry Osborn, determined to take revenge against Peter for his father's death and now equipped with what he needs to pull it off, teams with The Sandman in a new variation of his father's Green Goblin guise and causes mayhem. In the ensuing chaos lives are lost, including people very close to Peter, whilst the black substance covering his suit separates from him and merges with a distraught Brock to form something else entirely - a creature unlike anything he's ever faced. A 'Venom' that he may not be able to stop."

Watchmen and 30 Days Of Night.
For years the Watchmen rights have floated around studios. Last year Paramount put the movie in turnaround and now Warner Bros. has picked it up, I am sure in part to the recent success of Batman Begins and the upcoming Superman Returns. Over the coarse of its run both Darren Aronofsky and Paul Greengrass have been attached to direct. Now with the move to Warner, they have snatched Zack Snyder to Direct. Zack has directed the Dawn Of The Dead remake and the upcoming 300 based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller. The story was originally conceived by Alan Moore back in 1986 and has been the standard of graphic storytelling for years. Warner has also recently had major success with another Moore property, a little film called V For Vendetta. Years ago I would have hated to see this movie made because there would have been no way to really bring the story and characters to life. Now with the major advances in CGI and FX it is possible (just take a look at the scenes from X-Men 3 and others). If they stick to the story it should be an amazing last 20 minutes of a movie.
Another new movie property gathering steam is the adaptation of Steve Nile's 30 Days Of Night. This cool vampire story takes place in a small town in Alaska. The movie will be bankrolled by Sam Rami's Ghost House Pictures and they have named British director David Slade to helm. David 's newest movie Hard Candy will be released on April 7th and is being hailed as a great movie. The film will start shooting this summer in Alaska and New Zealand. No release date or actors have been announced.

Second Sunrise Over New Mombasa By Moebius & Andrew Robinson

Evil Dead Re-Make.
Bruce Campbell recently talked about the upcoming Evil Dead Re-Make he will be doing with Sam Rami.
"We don't really talk about [another] sequel too much 'cause Sam is too busy right now. It would all be kinda moot. But I think we're gonna do a remake. It'll be a whole new story, though. It won't be with Ash. It'll be the evil book, and it'll affect a whole new group of people in a different situation. More like a reinvention. A lot of people, they got really crabby on the Internet when they first heard that type of stuff. But, we would never do anything to insult them. The trick is to take that premise - and we think it's a scary premise - and use some cool modern day FXÂ so we won't have green garden hoses in the shots. We wanna make a flat out, scary-ass, un-rated horror film."
I do hope this comes about. Sam has a very busy schedule with Spider-Man 3 still in film and some otherrumoredd projects coming up. Bruce has a much looser schedule to fit the movie in. It is good to see that they will be delving away from Ash. I would hate to see another actor try to pull off the Ash character, Bruce has the character nailed and no one else could compare. Although the use of new advanced special effects worries me. One of the great things about the originals was theingenuityy and the "use what we have" mentality that Sam and Bruce had. I viewed Evil Dead way back in the day at a film festival in Chicago and was blown away, it was new, innovativee and had that great fun/scare factor. I hope a re-make can stand up to the task and be able to fill the big shows it is trying to follow.

It's A CELL call For Eli.
If you haven't read this book yet, well, shame on you. This is a return to the grisly, character-spanning stories that I have missed from Stephen King or the years. And you know when the book is dedicated to George Romero, that mayhem will ensue.
In a matter of minutes a strange signal over the cell phones causes anyone who was on the phone at the time become raging crazy maniacs set of blood and destruction. We follow the trials of a group of "norms" as the work their way across country in a attempt to get to a town in Maine. I don't want to give away too much story. Just pick it up and give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Joss makes Us Wonder !!
This image above has also been making its way around the internet lately. Being that the image looks like a DC illustration, I would believe it is fan-made. Still it is promising looking.

Alba vs The Bunny, Part 1.
Well, the thing is, the whole thing was done without Jessica knowing about it and now she is raging mad. Not only did Playboy not get her approval, they used an old promotional shot from her last movie. Jessica has stated in the past that she would not do any nudity and feels that her image on the cover could leave people to believe that she is posing naked in the magazine. Jessics is reportedly filing a lawsuit against Playboy to have the issue pulled from shelves. Looks like Hef will have to pull a few million out of petty cash to make this one go away, and cheers to Jessica Alba for sticking up for herself and for what she thinks is right.

Full X-Men Trailer On 24 and Online.
Last night Fox premiered the new full X-Men : The Last Stand Trailer in the last 1/2 hour of 24. After hinting at it throught the first episode, they finally showed it just after 9:30 eastern time. I was not sure what to expect, being that the teaser trailer showed us a lot of scenes. Well, I was blown away. The new trailer is amazing, showing us tons of new images and glances at some of the new mutants added to this movie. Some of the highlights include ::
-finally getting to see Beast speak
-A wonderful shot of Angel crashing out of a window and flying
-phoenix and Magneto together
-A brief shot of Colossus armored up
-Quick shots of a big battle
-First good look at Callisto
-Shots of Leech
-Beast turning "human" while with Leech
-Shots of the Juggernaut/Shadowcat lab chase
Overall t was great and really keeps us wanting more, and that May release date seems so far away. If you missed the trailer on tv you can view the entire trailer here.

The EYE has it.
Some have said it looks like a skyline, others see a face or even the Goblin's mask. CanMag.com even posted this close up pick with some details pointed out to maybe support the Goblin mask theory.
When I look at it all I think it is , is the reflection of the pattern from his arm in the eye plate. If you look closely at the pattern in the reflection, it is pretty close to that on his arm. Yet the debate rages on and I am sure that sooner or later Sony will step forward and either confirm or deny that anything is really there. Take a good look,,,does it look like anything to you??

The Code could remain locked.
One of the most anticipated releases of 2006 could end up being delayed. The DaVinci Code, based on the novel by Dan Brown, is set for a May 19th release, but due to a upcoming lawsuit it could end up indefinitely delayed or even stopped completely. A copyright claim filed in the London High Court states that co-authors Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh, who wrote the book "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" back in 1984, claim that Dan Brown had plagiarized their work and used the same structure and ideas from their book in the DaVinci Code. The suit is for 10 million dollars.
This is not the first suit to come up surrounding the book, many people have voiced their ideas about how much the book copies other existing texts and ideas. ut the suit is not for that much when you look at the overall estimated profit for this movie. The studio could just settle the claim and still release the movie without a single hiccup. But if the judge in the case does find a copyright violation had occurred, the movie could be with-held until all the legal matters are taken care of. This would be a major blow to the studio, as they have invested a lot into this movie and is sure to be a major blockbuster and Tom Hanks vehicle.

New shots of Juggernaut.
Comingsoon.com had a very cool article talking about a FX scene from the new movie involving Juggernaut (Vinnie Jone) and Shadowcat aka Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page). In this scene Kitty and juggernaut are racing through the lads at Worthington Labs in a search for the mutant Leech (Cameron Bright). They describe the scene as Kitty phasing through the walls and Juggy racing behind crashing thru walls and doors alike. Sounds pretty cool. From the pictures and leaks so far, it sounds like they are pulling out all the stops on this movie. I can't wait for May.

X-Men Trailer Sneak-Peek
In case you might have missed the recent commercials on tv, FOX will air the new FULL trailer for X-Men : The Last Stand during 24 on Monday March 5th. This will be the first viewing of the full trailer before it goes to theaters. We have all seen the teaser, which is quite long itself, so hopefully the new trailer will give us more new info.
So Long and Good Night.
Darren McGavin was 83 and was the star of one of the best tv shows ever.
Darren played Carl Kolchak in Kolchak The Nightstalker. Kolchak was an amazing show that inspired many a modern show. Chris Columbus even credits Kolchak as a main inspiration for the X-Files. Darren was the perfect man for the part, he could convey so much with just a look or a one-liner. Gavin also starred in the best Christmas movie ever made, A Christmas Story. This was another part that no one else could have played. The movie has become a Christmas tradition and some channels show it for 24 hrs on the holiday.
Don Knots was 81 and probably one of the most recognizable and beloved actors of all time. Don was in more movies than I can count, from Disney's Apple Dumpling Gang to The Incredible Mister Limpet. Don also had his TV career with guest spots on tons of shows, Mr Furley on Threes Company and probably his best know role as Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show. Don was just your "every-man" and could always make you laugh.
Both men will be greatly missed.
